Programme Information - Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership of Drug and Alcohol ServicesThis programme has been developed for those already working within, or seeking, leadership positions in Drug and Alcohol support agencies. The programme contains three courses; "Leading People" and "Leading Organisations", which aim to provide participants with an understanding of leadership theory and practice with a particular focus on the Scottish Health System. The final course is "Practitioner Inquiry and Decision Making", which will provide participants with an understanding of the value of making appropriate decisions based on the collection and analysis of key information within their workplace. The programme will be taught on-campus at the University of Glasgow, supported by e-learning. Teaching will be highly interactive, drawing on participants' knowledge and experiences as a means of helping them to improve their understanding and skill in leadership and management of drug and alcohol services. Applicants will be considered if they possess a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications; or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the addictions field.
